Reflections on Death
ok..quite sick today..used up 12 packs of tissue in less than 6 hrs..there was a sharp pain in my stomach throughout the journey hm..wonder if i'm dying..i'd be at a complete loss if i know today's my last day. wun noe wad to do..if today's your last day n u noe it, wad will u do..will u still go to sch as usual...? will you still study hard n mug in the library or do smthing else...? wad will you say to the pple ard u..? will u die w/o regrets..? i think i'm nt ready to die, cos there's still so many things i wanna do...i dread the thought of facing Him with an empty list..i've nt done much for Him..Life is so vulnerable..pple die all the time..nt juz the old n aged but the young as well..pple dying fr running marathons and all kinds of stuff..we shld really be grateful for everyday that we wake up finding ourselves still alive...but after a while..the enthusiasm to live fruitfully simply dwindles...its really hard to sustain it every morning..waking up to a day full of stuff to do..neverending lects, tuts, assignments n term papers..n all the other stuff that fills up the timetable..leaving u choking..gasping for air and some breathing space at the end of the day..ok this is such a morbid post..haha..death is like some kinda taboo topic for most pple...

Excuse me, I found your blog and read this posting, and I'm a little confused. Who is this "Him" that you're gonna see after you die? And then in you're previous post, you talked about church and God, but what kinda God are you talking about? I'm really curious to know. Thanks,
Hi pio..
erm..Him refers to God..God as in the God of Abraham and Isaac..as in the trinity God the father/the son/the holy spirit..
Hey bro, why so morbid your post. I was thinking that some people think their lives are miserable and would rather not wake up to see another day> But we have been blessed so richly and abundantly. Do continue to hold on and will be praying for you. Do you need help in anyway? Just sound out k?
Hi Ionicrus,
So how does the Trinity work? I mean, are they three Gods, or one? What's "God" like? How do you know He exists? I"m not against the idea of there being a God, I'm just curious what makes believing in one better than living however you want.
Hi pio,
there is only 1 true God in this world. the trinity is God manifested in 3 ways. God the father, Jesus(God's only begotten Son) and the holy spirit. http://www.afcministry.com/Explaining_the_Trinity.htm How do i know He exist? hmm..
1. Faith n personally experiencing Him thru prayer n the word.
2. Through logic and reasoning( quite hard to explain here ref to a.Mere christianity, C.S Lewis
b.Evidence thats demands a verdict, Josh McDowell.)
Believing in one(God)doesn't automatically qualifies one for salvation or makes it better. Even the Satan believes in Jesus!
i. For salvation, one has to believe in one's heart n confess with our lips that Christ is the saviour, pray for forgiveness n repent( sinner's prayer).
ii. God has a plan for us, and b'cos He is God n He created us, He knows wad is good for us and His plans are greater than ours. only by seeking and obeying His will can we lead a life that is free. Living however you want does nt equate to freedom, b'cos there's the cause n effect. often when we live a life that we want, we inflict much pain upon ourselves n will have to live with the consequences that comes along with our action. most of the time, these consequences will restrict our freedom further than we can imagine.
wad is your stand, pio?
sorry for the lengthy reply.
Hi Ionicrus,
Thanks for explaining about God and stuff. I will look into those books you said to read. I know about Christianity, and I am a Christian, I guess. It's just that I don't have the faith. I didn't know how to make sure I was going to heaven. Thank you for explaining.
